REMEDY
Switch on the ignition, switch the transmission to neutral,
switch on the emergency OFF switch
Charge battery and look for cause of discharging; replace
defective parts
Replace the IGNITION fuse in the fuse box
Replace the main fuse in the starter relay
Check the ignition lock and emergency OFF switch, replace
any defective parts
Repair the back-up starter system
Repair the back-up starter system
Repair the back-up starter system
Open the fuel taps, refuel, do not pull the chock, follow the
starting instructions
Replace the FUEL PUMP fuse
Remove the covering and the fuel tank, clean the plug and
socket connector and treat with contact spray
system
Error diagnosis with the KTM diagnostics tool, eliminate
error
Check the fuel taps, run the fuel lines without kinks
Check the vacuum hoses and vent hoses for a tight fit kink-
free installation
Replace the air filter
Activate the ignition curve for 95 octane, provided 95
octane fuel is being used
Error diagnosis with the KTM diagnostics tool, eliminate
system
error
Add cooling liquid (see maintenance work), check the
cooling system for leakage
Bleed the cooling system (see Chapter 12)
Clean the radiator fins with a water jet
Replace the cooling liquid, use brand-name antifreeze
Install the radiator hose correctly or replace
Have the thermostat checked (opening temperature 75°C) or
replaced
Replace the FAN fuse
Replace defective parts
