20.1 Overview

Use t his screen t o shut down t he device.
Always use Maintenance > Shutdown > Shutdown or the shutdown
command before you turn off the device or remove the power. Not doing
so can cause the firmware to become corrupt.

20.1.1 What You Need To Know

Shut down writ es all cached dat a t o t he local st orage and st ops t he syst em processes. Shut down is
different t o reset ; reset ret urns t he device t o it s default configurat ion.

20.2 Shutdown

To access t his screen, click M a int e na nce > Shut dow n.

Click t he Shut dow n but t on t o shut down t he device. Wait for t he device t o shut down before you
m anually t urn off or rem ove t he power. I t does not t urn off t he power.
You can also use t he CLI com m and shutdown t o shut down t he device.
