DESCRIPTION
This is t he int erface's I P address and subnet m ask. Whichever device is t he
m ast er uses t his virt ual rout er I P address and subnet m ask.
This field displays t he int erface's m anagem ent I P address and subnet m ask. You
can use t his I P address and subnet m ask t o access t he device whet her it is in
m ast er or backup m ode.
This t ells whet her t he m onit ored int erface's connect ion is down or up.
The t ext before t he slash shows whet her t he device is configured as t he m ast er or
t he backup role.
This t ext aft er t he slash displays t he m onit ored int erface's st at us in t he virt ual
rout er.
Act ive - This int erface is up and using t he virt ual I P address and subnet m ask.
St a n d- By - This int erface is a backup int erface in t he virt ual rout er. I t is not using
t he virt ual I P address and subnet m ask.
Fa u lt - This int erface is not funct ioning in t he virt ual rout er right now. I n act ive-
passive m ode ( or in legacy m ode wit h link m onit oring enabled) , if one of t he
m ast er device's int erfaces loses it s connect ion, t he m ast er device forces all of it s
int erfaces t o t he fault st at e so t he backup device can t ake over all of t he m ast er
device's funct ions.

Click Re se t t o ret urn t he screen t o it s last- saved set t ings.
