This screen allows you t o view and t o edit what inform at ion is included in t he syst em log, e- m ail
profiles, and rem ot e servers at t he sam e t im e. I t does not let you change ot her log set t ings ( for

Select t his check box t o send log inform at ion according t o t he inform at ion in t his
sect ion. You specify what kinds of m essages are included in log inform at ion in t he
Act ive Log sect ion.
This field displays t he form at of t he log inform at ion. I t is read- only.

Type t he server nam e or t he I P address of t he syslog server t o which t o send log
inform at ion.
Select a log facilit y. The log facilit y allows you t o log t he m essages t o different
files in t he syslog server. Please see t he docum ent at ion for your syslog program
for m ore inform at ion.
Use t he Se le ct ion drop- down list t o change t he log set t ings for all of t he log
cat egories.

and alert s for all log cat egories.

This field is a sequent ial value, and it is not associat ed wit h a specific address.
This field displays each cat egory of m essages. I t is t he sam e value used in t he
D ispla y and Ca t e gor y fields in t he V ie w Log t ab. The D e fa u lt cat egory includes
debugging m essages generat ed by open source soft ware.
Select what inform at ion you want t o log from each Log Ca t e gor y ( except All
Logs; see below) . Choices are:

e n a ble n or m a l logs ( green checkm ark) - log regular inform at ion and alert s from
t his cat egory
e n a ble n or m a l logs a n d de bu g logs ( yellow check m ark) - log regular
inform at ion, alert s, and debugging inform at ion from t his cat egory
