11.3.1 Edit User Authentication Timeout Settings

This screen allows you t o set t he default aut hent icat ion t im eout set t ings for t he select ed t ype of
user account . These default aut hent icat ion t im eout set t ings also cont rol t he set t ings for any
exist ing user account s t hat are set t o use t he default set t ings. You can st ill m anually configure any
user account 's aut hent icat ion t im eout set t ings.

These are t he kinds of user account t he device support s.
• a dm in - t his user can look at and change t he configurat ion of t he
device
• lim it e d- a dm in - t his user can look at t he configurat ion of t he
device but not t o change it
• u se r - t his is used for em bedded RADI US server and SNMPv3 user
access
This is t he default lease t im e in m inut es for each t ype of user account .
I t defines t he num ber of m inut es t he user has t o renew t he current
session before t he user is logged out .
Adm in users renew t he session every t im e t he m ain screen refreshes
in t he Web Configurat or.
This is t he default reaut hent icat ion t im e in m inut es for each t ype of
user account . I t defines t he num ber of m inut es t he user can be logged
int o t he device in one session before having t o log in again. Unlike
Le a se Tim e , t he user has no opport unit y t o renew t he session wit hout
logging out .
Select t his check box if you want t o set a lim it on t he num ber of
sim ult aneous logins by adm in users. I f you do not select t his, adm in
users can login as m any t im es as t hey want at t he sam e t im e using t he
sam e or different I P addresses.
This field is effect ive when Lim it ... for a dm in ist r a t ion a ccou n t is
checked. Type t he m axim um num ber of sim ult aneous logins by each
adm in user.
Select t his check box t o set a lim it on t he num ber of t im es each user
can login unsuccessfully ( for exam ple, wrong password) before t he I P
address is locked out for a specified am ount of t im e.
This field is effect ive when En a ble logon r e t r y lim it is checked. Type
t he m axim um num ber of t im es each user can login unsuccessfully
before t he I P address is locked out for t he specified lock out pe r iod.
The num ber m ust be bet ween 1 and 99.
