How to use the ACCU-FISH
The ACCU-FISH
The ACCU-FISH
Important considerations when using the ACCU-FISH
• The ACCU-FISH
accurate measurement of fish length.
• Echo intensity depends on fish species. When the fish length differs between the
indicated length and the actual length, you can compensate the difference on the
[Calibration] menu (see section 4.8.4).
• Fish at depths of less than two meters cannot be measured. However, if [Zero Line
Rejector] is set to [On], fish within the area covered by the transmission line cannot
be detected.
• The maximum depth at which the ACCU-FISH
pending on transducer type, vessel configuration, sea conditions and other factors
which may affect beam accuracy.
• In a school of fish, the echoes overlap. This causes a greater margin of error in fish
size measurement.
• This feature cannot be used with inside-hull transducers. Depending on the trans-
ducer frequency, fish may not be detected. Further, even if fish are detected, their
indicated length may be smaller than the actual length.
• The TX pulse length changes according to ACCU-FISH
a difference in both sensitivity and the echoes viewed.
