While the conventional models have been utilized in a variety of market segments from compact recreational boats to coastal, commercial fishing boats, these new models offer more features with the latest technology, which have been developed for the built-in Fish Finders of NavNet TZtouch3 series MFDs and GP-1871F/1971F.
  • Page 4 1.2. Bright LCDs with Improved Screen Resolutions FCV-600 While the LCD type of 5.7” models have evolved from FCV-620 (QVGA: 320×240) to FCV-627 and FCV-628 (VGA: 640×480), the new FCV-600 maintains the clear screen resolution of VGA (640×480) with an improved screen brilliance from 800 to 1000 cd/㎡.

This new color has been added to the GP-1871F/1971F V4.0 and TZT9F/12F/16F/19F V3.01. The Sunlight green-based color offers good visibility under sunlight and is available with the FCV-600 and FCV-800. This is another solution to secure good visibility under bright sunlight.
  • Page 7 (2) The Blue color looks different between new and previous models due to LCD characteristics. The Blue color on the FCV-600 and FCV-800 looks the same as the GP-1871F/1971F V4.0 and TZT9F/12F/16F/19F V2.01, as well as models such as FCV-1900. Left –...
  • Page 8 2.3. Color Expand Color Expand mode has been added to the GP-1871F/1971F V4.0 and TZT9F/12F/16F/19F V3.01 and later software versions, and is now available with the FCV-600 and FCV-800. With the conventional color range, strong echoes from the seabed and a big school of fish were shown in the similar color, i.e., brown to dark red. With new Color Expand mode, when the strength of echoes from the seabed and fish is slightly different, they are displayed in separate colors so that you can intuitively identify the fish over the seabed.
  • Page 9 Color Expand: ON Color Expand: OFF Color Expand mode works fine in Color: Sunlight Color: Sunlight combination with color schemes. In this example, Sunlight color is assigned. Similar to the cases of GP-1871F/1971F and TZT9F/12F/ 16F/19F, fish targets around the seabed and fish reefs can be easily found on the screen.

Previously, only the radius (half the total distance) was shown.
  • Page 12 2.7. Post Processing Gain Post Processing Gain enables you to apply adjusted gain settings to the past screen history. While this function has been utilized on many Fish Finder models, it is the first time to have it available on compact 5” and 8” models. In this example, when the gain is lowered, distribution of fish targets between fish reefs are clearly identified by suppressing weak echoes all over the screen.

Dual Transducer Ports – CW + Single-Band CHIRP (FCV-800) Conventionally, CW type transducers with 50/200 kHz have been utilized for ACCU-FISH™ and Bottom Discrimination functions. While these functions require transmission by dual frequency – 50/200 kHz, they are not available with single-band CHIRP.

The FCV-600 utilizes NMEA2000, not NMEA0183, to cope with the latest simplified configuration onboard. Both models have one (1) USB port to easily update software and import/export setting data. No dedicated serial cable with D-SUB connector is required for softare update.
