Battery Replacement

The processor unit contains a battery. When the battery voltage becomes low, the in-
ternal clock may display the time incorrectly. The table below shows the estimated life
of a battery under normal, nominal operating conditions. To ensure your system is al-
ways functioning at its best, arrange a replacement battery through your local dealer.

Troubleshooting

The table below provides basic troubleshooting procedures which the user may follow
to restore normal operation. If you can not restore normal operation, do not check in-
side the unit. Contact your dealer to check the equipment.
Problem
Cannot turn on power.
There is no response
when the Trackball Con-
trol Unit is operated.
No echo appears but fixed
range scale appears.
Echo appears but no zero
line.

Only use the specified battery.
When replacing the battery, make
sure the polarity is correct.
Incorrect replacement of the battery can
cause the battery to explode or damage
the equipment.

• The power cable is disconnected or damaged. Check the power ca-
ble. If damaged, replace it.
• The cable connected to the Trackball Control Unit or the Transceiver
is disconnected or damaged. Check the cable, and reconnect or re-
place it as necessary.
• Check ship's mains.
• Check the fuse on the processor unit and transceiver unit. If the fuse
has blown, find the cause then replace it.
• The cable connected to the Trackball Control Unit is disconnected or
damaged. Check the cable, and reconnect or replace it as neces-
sary.
• Reboot the system. If you do not get a response, the Trackball Con-
trol Unit may be damaged. Contact your dealer for instructions.
• Picture advance is stopped. Referring to section 1.5, set [Pic. Ad-
vance] to other than [Stop].
• Transducer cable is disconnected or damaged. Check the cable,
and reconnect or replace it as necessary.
• The displayed area is shifted. Referring to section 1.7, set the shift
to [0].
• The zero line rejection is turned on. Referring to section 4.7.5, turn it
off.
• The setting of the draft line is improper. Referring to section 4.7.5,
set the draft correctly.
