Zoom Display

The zoom displays expand the specified area of the single frequency echo. Four
modes are available: bottom lock, bottom zoom, marker zoom and bottom discrimina-
tion. The default mode is bottom lock.
To select a zoom mode, do the following:
1. Select the [Sounder] icon (
menu appears.
2. Select the [Zoom] mode icon (
section of the header.
3. Scroll to show the desired zoom mode. The four modes are shown in abbreviated
format, see the list below for reference.
• BL: Bottom lock
• BZ: Bottom zoom

Bottom lock mode

Bottom lock mode provides a normal picture on the right-side of the screen and a mag-
nified picture on the left-side of the screen. The zoomed area shows a smooth seabed,
making it easier to detect fish near the seabed.

Note 1: The range for the zoom display can be adjusted from the [Range] menu. See
section 4.7.1.
Note 2: To show or hide the zoom marker, change the setting for [Zoom Marker] in the
[Display] menu. See section 4.3.
