Fuse Replacement

The Processor Unit and Transceiver Unit are protected from overcurrent and equip-
ment fault by their fuse. If a unit cannot be powered, its fuse may have blown. If a fuse
has blown, find the reason before replacing the fuse. If a fuse blows after replacement,
contact a FURUNO agent or dealer for advice.

Battery Replacement

The mother board in the Processor Unit contains a backup battery. When the battery
voltage is low, the time shown on the clock is incorrect. (However, if the time and date
are fed from an external source, with the ZDA sentence, the correct time is shown.

Note 1: When the battery voltage is 2.6 V or lower, the error window (error code: P01)
appears at the center of the screen. Have a FURUNO representative replace the bat-
tery at your earliest convenience.
Note 2: Used batteries should be disposed of according to the applicable local stan-
dards and laws. Cover the battery terminals with tape to prevent heat generation, fire,
etc. by short circuit.
