Configuring the
Adjunct Using Auto
Discovery
To configure the adjunct using Auto Discovery:
1 Make sure that the adjunct is connected to the LAN, and that all
telephone extensions that will map to the adjunct have already been
configured.
If you add extensions to the system after installing the adjunct, you must
manually map those extensions to the adjunct.
2 On the NetSet main menu, click the System Configuration icon.
3 On the System Settings tab on the System Configuration window, click
System-wide.
4 Enable the Auto Discover Adjuncts check box, and then click OK.
5 After the Auto Discovery process finishes, click System-wide again,
disable the Auto Discover Adjuncts check box, and then click OK.
This last step is not essential. However, leaving Auto Discovery disabled
allows you to control how and when new devices are configured.
The adjunct will be associated with the telephone with the lowest
extension in the system. Figure 74 shows how the buttons are mapped by
default. If you need to change this automatic assignment, continue to the
next procedure.
