Installation Sequence

The pcXset PC Telephone is a software application that enables a user's
multimedia computer to become a telephone with the same features,
functionality, TAPI, and IMAP4 client capabilities of the Business
Telephone.
The NBX pcXset specifications for Windows 2000 include:
Processor: Pentium 166MHz or greater.

Operating System: Windows NT 4.0, Windows 95, Windows 98 or
I
Windows 2000.
RAM: 32 MB (Windows 95/98), 64 MB (Windows NT/Windows
I
2000).
Video Display: 640 x 480 pixels with 16 colors minimum (800 x 600
I
pixels with 256 colors or greater recommended).
Network: A properly configured Ethernet network adapter. pcXset
I
operates as either Layer 2 (MAC) or Layer 3 (IP) mode.
Audio: A properly configured audio adapter and audio drivers that
I
fully support full duplex audio (that is, simultaneous microphone and
speaker audio)
Disk Space: 40 MB of free disk space is required.
I
Because pcXset is a software application and does not have a handset like
a physical telephone, a headset with microphone is required. The use of
speakers and a separate microphone is not recommended.
To install pcXset:
1 Insert the NBX 100 Resource Pack CD into the CD-ROM drive of the client
computer.
2 When the NBX 100 Resource Pack dialog box appears, click pcXset PC
Telephone to begin the installation.
3 Click Next after reading the informational text.
4 Read the Terms and Conditions statement and then click Finish. The
installation files will then unpack.
5 Click Next after reading the informational text.
