CAUTION: The chassis cooling fans expel warm air from the left side of
the chassis. If you are installing two or more NBX 100 chassis, do not
mount them side by side because the warm air expelled from one unit is
drawn into the second unit, reducing the effectiveness of the cooling
system.
The area must be safe from physical interference. For example, do not
put the chassis where it might be struck by a swinging door or where
cables might be pinched by a door or snagged by people passing by.
Do not install the NBX 100 in an area that is exposed to strong
electromagnetic fields, dust, smoke, or airborne debris.
Make sure that the installation site has sufficient cooling and air
circulation to maintain ambient temperatures from 0 to 40 degrees C
(32 and 104 degrees F) and within a humidity range between 5 and
85%, noncondensing.
The NBX 100 must be installed in a secure area. Telephone service and
voice messaging are critical business services. Protect them from
tampering or accidental interference.
The mounting location must be able to support at least 13.5 kg (30
pounds) per chassis.
To rack-mount the system, you need a standard 486-millimeter
(19-inch) equipment rack, properly installed and grounded according
to the manufacturer's instructions. The NBX 100 chassis requires six
rack units, with 27 centimeters; (10.5 inches) of vertical space and 23
centimeters (nine inches) of depth. All connections are on the front of
the chassis.
If you wall-mount the system, the NBX 100 chassis must be attached
securely to a plywood mounting board that is firmly attached to the
wall.
Allow at least 8 centimeters (3 inches) of space on either side of the
NBX 100 chassis for proper ventilation.
