After you complete the system plan, have the client contact the local
telephone service provider to order the necessary lines and services. If the
client is ordering T1 lines, see Appendix B for additional information.
The NBX 100 ships with several default Dial Plan configuration files,
typically a 3-digit and a 4-digit file for each country. If one of the default
dial plans does not meet the needs of the client site, you can either
modify an existing plan or create a new plan. The new plan can be loaded
on the system during the installation process, or you can develop and
import a customized dial plan later.
See Chapter 2 for complete information on developing and modifying a
dial plan.
This section contains a list of general installation tasks. Many of the tasks
include sub-tasks that are not listed in detail. One such task is hardware
installation, which includes installing the disk drive and cards into the
chassis. These tasks are described more fully in subsequent chapters.
