Disassembly
CAUTION: If brake fluid is spilt on the
paintwork, the affected area must be
immediately washed down with cold wa-
ter.
1. Remove the brake caliper dust seal.
• Discard the seal.
2. Place a suitable block of wood between the
body of the brake caliper and the brake
caliper piston.
3. WARNING: Use only as much
compressed air as is necessary to
remove the brake caliper piston.
Failure to follow these instructions
may result in personal injury.
CAUTION: Do not use a screwdriver or
any other similar tool to pry the brake
caliper piston out of the brake caliper
bore.
Apply compressed air through the brake
hose housing to remove the brake caliper
piston.
