The rear axle and suspension system consists of
a transverse beam axle supported and located at
each end by a single leaf spring. The bump
rubbers mounted on top of the axle tube limit the
vertical movement.

Rear Suspension
A stub axle is welded to each end of the axle
tube. These stub axles each carry two taper roller
bearings, which support the rear hubs. The rear
brake drums and hubs form an integral unit.
Although the rear wheel bearings are adjustable,
their initial packing of grease is sufficient for the
service life of the bearings and there is no routine
maintenance requirement to readjust them in
service.
The multi leaf rear springs are colour coded Blue
of Yellow to indicate below or above the mean
load and rate specification.
