Display Questions

Question: Why is the display hard to read?
The display contrast may need adjustment. See Chapter 7, System
Options, Adjusting the Contrast of the Display for instructions on
adjusting the display contrast.

Adding Postage Questions

Question: Why does the display show a series of messages
during the adding postage process?
This is normal activity. The machine is designed to display the
progress of the postage refill. If the procedure fails for any reason,
the display tells you why. Make the necessary corrections.
Question: Why does the system fail to connect to
Postage By Phone
• Machine may not be connected to analog phone line - Make sure
you've connected your machine to a working analog phone line
(the same type most Fax machines use). Also make sure the
phone line connectors are firmly seated in their receptacles.
• Incorrect setup of System Options - One or more of the system
options may be setup wrong.
- Does your phone system require you to dial a prefix number
to get an outside phone line? Make sure to include it in the
setup. See Chapter 7, System Options.
- Is the dial method correct? You have to tell the machine if
your phone uses a pulse or tone for dialing. See Chapter 7,
System Options.
