System Information Screen - Hardware Components

When you start the WS4LXDiagUtilty, it displays the System Information Screen.
This screen combines many of the WS4 LX hardware and software components into a
single location.
In Figure 5-6 below, the hardware information is highlighted. The WS4 LX used for
this example contains the ABRD86 System Board with GR1.3 platform software.

A brief description of the hardware components follows.
Workstation Model
For those familiar with the original WS4 DiagUtility, the 'Workstation Model' is
new field. This field identifies the unit as the Workstation 4 LX, an updated
version of the original WS4. This is required because the Workstation 4 and
Workstation 4 LX operating system image and platform files are incompatible and
both the CAL and MICROS POS applications consider the WS4 LX a new
workstation.
Hardware Revision
This field displays the WS4 LX system board hardware revision. It is read directly
from a set of traces on the LX system board through the WS4 LX API.
System Board Revisions C, D, and E may be observed.
RAM Space Available
This field displays the amount of available RAM, located on a single System
Board DIMM. The unit ships with 256M contained in a single DDR333 DIMM.
