Workstation 4 LX Diagnostic Utility
Physical Address
This field displays the network Media Access Control (MAC) number assigned to
the system board Ethernet Controller at the factory. Each workstation will display
a unique value in this field in the form: 00a0a4xxxxxx.
DHCP Server Address
This field displays the DHCP Server Address when the workstation operates on a
DHCP based network.
IP Address (Dynamic or Static)
This field displays the WS4 LX IP Address when the workstation operates in
DHCP or Static IP mode. When 'Dynamic' is displayed, the field is displaying an
IP address assigned by a DHCP server. The 'Static' is displayed, this indicates the
unit is assigned a static IP address.
Motherboard Serial
This field displays a 19-digit serial number created at the time the system board is
manufactured. The number is stored in a serial EEPROM. Each workstation will
display a unique value in this field.
USB Flash Drive Size
This field displays the size of the \DOC partition of the USB Flash Drive. USB
Flash Drives sizes initially started at 128M on DVT and MVT units, then moved
up to 256M devices in production units.
The USB Flash Drive contains three partitions of equal size but only the \DOC
partition is visible to Windows CE. This means a 256M USB Flash Drive will
display size of approximately 80M.
CF Size
This field displays the total size of CF Card in bytes. Workstation 4 LX production
units use a 256M CF Card.
