Remove and Replace the Workstation 4 System Board

The following procedure applies to the original Workstation 4 System Boards, AB28
and ABRD36. See page 6-15 to remove the LX system Board.
See page 6-4 to remove the Cover.
See page 6-8 to remove the RF Shield.
1. Remove three screws from the CF Daughter Card then remove it from the System
Board connector. If a wireless card is installed in the PCMCIA socket, remove it.
2. Refer to Figure 6-7. Remove the LCD Cable from J5 and the Backlight Inverter
Cable from J17. The illustration shows an AB28-I system board. If this is an
AB28-F or AB28-G system board, the LCD and Backlight cables with ground
lugs are shown at the bottom of the illustration. Cables shipped with AB28-I or
ABRD36 system boards do not have ground lugs.
3. Remove the power supply cable from J7.
