REMOVING THE HIDDEN BAKE ELEMENT
WARNING
Turn off the electrical power circuit to
the oven at the main junction box be-
fore servicing this unit.
CAUTION
When you work on the oven, be careful
when handling the sheet metal parts.
There are sharp edges present and you can
cut yourself if you are not careful.
1.
Turn off the electrical power to the oven.
2.
Pull the oven out of its mounting location
so that you can access the back.
3.
Remove the screws from the rear panel
and remove the panel (see Figure A, Page
86).

Refer to Figure B (Page 86) for the following
steps.
4.
Unwrap and remove the indicated wire
tie from the support bracket.
5.
Remove the three screws from the support
bracket and rotate it to the right so you
can access the flange at the bottom of the
oven.
6.
Remove the six screws from the flange.
7.
Remove the two wires from the bake ele-
ment.
8.
Refer to Figure C (Page 86) and bend the
bottom flange down as far as possible so
that you can pull the bake element out
from under the unit.
Refer to Figure D (Page 86) for the following
steps.
9.
Remove the screws from the hidden ele-
ment cover and remove the cover.
10. Remove the two screws from the hidden
bake element and pull the element out
from the unit. NOTE: Be careful not to tear
the insulation under the element.
