CM Oven Service Manual
REMOVING THE CONVECTION ELEMENT &
WARNING
Turn off the electrical power going to the
oven before servicing.
CAUTION
When you work on the oven, be careful
when handling the sheet metal parts. There
are sharp edges present and you can cut
yourself if you are not careful.
1.
Turn off the electrical power going to the
oven.
2.
To make servicing inside the oven easier,
remove the microwave oven door (see
Page 42 for the procedure).
After reinstalling the oven door, check
around the door for microwave radiation
leakage.
3.
Remove the oven racks and supports.
4.
Remove the four screws and two top in-
sulator (mica) washers from the convec-
tion baffle and remove the baffle.

To remove the convection element:
a) Remove the eight screws from the con-
vection element.
b) Pull the element forward until the ter-
minal wires are inside the oven (the el-
ement terminals and wires are angled
up 90˚). Disconnect the two wires from
the terminals and remove the element.

NOTE: It will be necessary to pull
the oven out of the cabinet to
replace the convection motor.
