CM Oven Service Manual
REMOVING THE HIGH VOLTAGE
WARNING
Turn off the electrical power going to the
oven before servicing.
CAUTION
When you work on the oven, be careful
when handling the sheet metal parts. There
are sharp edges present and you can cut
yourself if you are not careful.
1.
Turn off the electrical power going to the
oven.
2.
Pull the oven out of its mounting location
so that you can access the trim and ple-
num covers.
3.
Remove the trim and top plenum covers
from the oven (see Page 10).

CAUTION: DISCHARGE THE HIGH
VOLTAGE MICROWAVE CAPACITOR
WITH A 20,000 OHM, 1- OR 2-WATT
RESISTOR TO CHASSIS GROUND
(SEE PAGE 18) BEFORE WORKING ON
ANY OF THE HIGH VOLTAGE COM-
PONENTS. BE VERY CAREFUL NOT
TO TOUCH THE BARE RESISTOR
LEADS WHEN YOU DISCHARGE THE
CAPACITOR.
5.
Disconnect the three high voltage micro-
wave transformer leads from the termi-
nals of the high voltage capacitor and the
magnetron.

Remove the four mounting screws from
the heat sink bracket and remove the
bracket from the top of the transformer.

Remove the two mounting screws from
the heat sink and remove the sink from
the top of the transformer.
