System Unit Cover

To remove the system unit cover, complete the following steps:
1. Perform preparation procedures described in Section 5.1.3.
2. Remove the two thumbscrews on the rear of the computer to release the cover. You may need a flat-
bladed screwdriver or a coin to loosen the screws.
If the computer has a cable lock mechanism installed in place of one of the thumbscrews, refer to
Section 5.1.5.

3. Slide the desktop computer cover backward about 1 inch (2.5 cm); then, lift it up and off the unit.

The internal components of the computer are now accessible for service. To replace the unit cover,
reverse the above procedure.
