Use the keypad to type in the
telephone number of the machine,
and then press [Enter].
– A maximum of 20 digits can be
entered for the telephone
number.
– To register the country code (for
example, for the US), press the
[+] and enter the US code "1".

Press [PBX Connection Mode].

Press [Extension] or [Outside].
– Outside: Select this setting if the
connection is made directly to
the general subscriber line.
– Extension: Select this setting if
the connection is made to the
general subscriber line through a
PBX (private branch exchange). If
a PBX (private branch exchange)
is used, fax transmission may not be completed correctly. Select
when using a general subscriber line through a PBX (private branch
exchange).

If you select [Extension], input the
external access number (the number
used to get out), and touch [Enter].
