Network Parameters
2. Place a check mark in the Enable DHCP Server box to enable.
3. Remove the check mark from the Enable DHCP Server IP Upsell box to disable.
4. Remove the check mark from the Enable DHCP Relay box.
5. Remove the check mark from the Enable DHCP Relay IP Upsell box.
6. Leave the DHCP Relay Agent IP field blank.
7. Leave the DHCP Relay Agent ID field blank.
8. Leave the DHCP Relay Server ID blank.
9. Click OK.
10. Reboot the AP.
Enabling IP Address Assignment with External DHCP Server
Follow these steps to allow an external DHCP server to assign private IP addresses:
1. Click Configure > Network > DHCP Server
2. Remove the check mark from the Enable DHCP Server box to disable the AP's internal DHCP server.
3. Remove the check mark from the Enable DHCP Server IP Upsell box to disable IP Upsell.
4. Place a check mark in the Enable DHCP Relay box.
5. Remove the check mark from the Enable DHCP Relay IP Upsell box.
6. In the DHCP Relay Agent IP field, enter the IP address of the AP-2500.
7. Configure the DHCP Relay Agent ID (optional).
8. In the DHCP Relay Server ID field, enter the IP address of the external DHCP server.
9. Click OK.
10. Reboot the AP.
Enabling IP Upsell with Internal DHCP Server
Follow these steps to enable IP Upsell with the AP providing both private and pubic IP addresses:
1. Login to the AP's Web browser interface.
2. Click PublicSpace > AAA
3. Place a check mark in the Enable AAA Services box.
4. Click OK.
5. Click Configure > Network > DHCP Server
6. If necessary, place the check mark in the Enable DHCP Server box to enable.
7. Place a check mark in the Enable DHCP Server IP Upsell box to enable. If DHCP Server is not enabled (the box
is unchecked), you will not be able to enable DHCP Server IP Upsell.
8. Remove the check mark from the Enable DHCP Relay box.
9. Remove the check mark from the Enable DHCP Relay IP Upsell box.
10. In the DHCP Relay Agent IP field, enter 0.0.0.0.
11. Leave the DHCP Relay Agent ID field blank.
12. In the DHCP Relay Server ID field, enter 0.0.0.0.
13. Click OK.
14. Click Configure > Network > DHCP Pool.
15. Click Add to create a new DHCP pool. This pool will be in addition to the default private DHCP pool.
16. Configure the Server IP Address, Start IP Address, End IP Address, Subnet Mask, and Lease Time. (See
DHCP Pool
for a description of these parameters.)
17. Set the DHCP Pool type to Public.
18. Set IP Upsell to Enable.
19. Verify that this pool is not designated as Default.
20. Click Create.
21. Click OK.
22. Reboot the AP.
