INSPECTION
WHEEL BEARINGS
Inspect the play of wheel bearing inner race by
hand while fixing it in the wheel. Rotate the
inner race by hand to inspect
whether abnormal
noise occurs or rotating smoothly. Replace the
bearing
if
thElre is something unusual.
AX LE SHAFT
Using a dial gauge, check the axle shaft for runcut
and replace
it if
the runout exceeds the limit.

WHEEL
Make sure that the wheel runout checked as shown
does not exceed the service limit. An excessive
runout is usually due to worn or loose wheel
bearings and can be reduced by replacing the
bearings. If bearing replacement fails to reduce the
runcut, replace the wheel.
