C utch plates in service remain in oily condition

they were lubricated with oil. Because of

condition, both drive and driven plates are
a,bject to little wearing action and therefore last
much longer. Their life depends largely on the
ality, of o il used in the clutch and also on the
tHay the clutch is operated.
These plates are expandab le: they are meant to

replaced when found worn down or distorted
to the respective limit: use a caliper to check
thickness and claw width and a thickness gauge
and surface p late to check distortion.
