• Remove the sprocket mounting drum bearing by
using the special tool.

INSPECTION
REAR WHEEL AND REA R SPROCKET
MOUNTING DRU M BEAR IN GS
Inspect the play of bearing inner race by hand
while fixing it in the wheel and mounting drum.
Rotate the inner race by hand to inspect whether
abnormal noise occurs or rotating smoothly.
Repl ace the bear ing if there is something unusual.
A X LE SHAFT
Using a dial gauge, check the axle shaft for runcut
and replace
it if
the runout exceeds the limit.

WHEEL
Make su re that the wheel runcut c hecked as
shown, does not exceed the service lim it. An
excessive runout is usua lly d ue to worn o r loose
wheel bearings.
If bearing replacement
replace the wheel.
