48. Duplex Tray Paper Feed Roller Replacement and Adjustment
1. Remove the duplex tray.
2.
Remove the duplex tray handle (1 screw) and the duplex tray cover (2
screws).
3.
Unhook the pressure springs of the pick-up rollers [A], and remove the
two upper feed guides [B] (2 screws each).
4.
Remove the bushing [C] for the feed roller shaft [D] from the front (1
E-ring).
5. Remove the outer and inner duplex tray drive gears [E] (1 E-ring).
6. Remove the paper feed clutch collar [F] (1 Allen screw), the paper feed
clutch [G] (1 Allen screw), and the bushing [H].
7. Remove the brackets [I] (2 screws each) connected by the chain to the
pick-up roller brackets [J].
8. Remove the feed roller shaft complete with pick-up rollers and the feed
roller [K].
9.
Loosen the Allen screw of the pick-up roller gear [L] and slide off the
front pick-up roller assembly.
10. Replace the paper feed roller (1 E-ring).
CAUTION: When reinstalling the feed clutch, check that the feed clutch stopper [M]
is positioned on pin [N].
