RAN – Recorded Announcement Mailboxes
At some point it may be necessary to play pre-recorded information to a caller such
as directions, announcements such as of a sale, etc. This capability is pre-installed
via RAN mailboxes.
These mailboxes, when accessed from a CCR choice or having their number dialed
by a caller, play a recorded message to the caller and then will hang up and release
the port.
There are a total of 16 RAN mailboxes available as follows:
3-digit system numbering plan: 801-816
4-digit system numbering plan: 8001-8016
The announcements (greetings) for these mailboxes are recorded through the System
Administrator mailbox the same as a regular mailbox.
