Removing and installing cover for final drive
Removal
1. Drain transmission oil.
Installation
Tightening torques:
2. Remove drive shaft at the transmission and
protect the shaft against damage (use scrap
pieces of hose with a diameter of 30 mm).

Drive shaft to transmission

3. Remove halfshaft flange (see Pages 39 -5
and 39 -9).

Oil filler and oil drain

4. Unclip hydraulic line for clutch slave cylinder.
30 Nm (22 ftlb.:

5. Unscrew hexagon-head bolts for cover and
press off cover on alternate sides.
1. Fit sealing ring untwisted.
2. Coat sealing ring with transmission oil and fit
cover. Use special tool 9321 to aid assembly.
