Step 2
1) Turn the ignition switch OFF.
2) Measure the ECT sensor resistance.
_ ECT sensor resistance:
Approx. 2.3 - 2.6 kO at 20°C (68 OF)

Is the resistance OK?
• BIBI or BIBr wire open or shorted to ground, or

If wire and connection are OK, intermittent trou-

Recheck each terminal and wire harness for
open circuit and poor connection.
NO Replace the ECT sensor with a new one.
