Verification
When an individual loiters in the sensitive area for a time period longer than the value of
Loitering duration:

Cause
The surveillance area is too large.
The surveillance area is too small.
The behavior analysis function is disabled.
The sensitive area is not in Enable state
when Behavior type is set to Loitering
detection on the Behavior Analysis
Parameters page.
Video alarm deployment is not selected on
the Alarm Deployment Policy page that is
displayed when you choose Settings >
Alarm Configuration > Alarm
Deployment Policy.

5.3.5 Configuring the Abandoned Object Detection Function

The abandoned object detection function checks a sensitive area for objects that have been
abandoned for 10 seconds or longer. The system generates an alarm when an abandoned
object is detected.
Prerequisite
Enable the behavior analysis function. For details, see
Switch.
Procedure
Step 1 Log in to the eSpace IP camera (IPC) web page as the system administrator.
Step 2 Choose Settings > Intelligent Analysis > Behavior Analysis Parameters.
Issue 02 (2013-09-30)
If the individual is marked with a red box and the individual's movement track is
displayed as a red line on the live video image, loitering detection is successfully
configured.
If the individual is not marked on the live video image, loitering detection is not properly
configured or not enabled.
After clicking a domain or a link to jump to a required page, you can press Alt+← (left arrow key) to
return to the previous page.

Solution
Adjust the focal length and dimensions of
the surveillance area to ensure that the
intended object can be detected.
Enable the behavior analysis function.
Select the sensitive area ID from the
sensitive area list and click
Enable/Disabled to enable the sensitive
area.
Select Video alarm deployment.
