Advanced settings
Only the super user has rights to modify advanced settings. To modify advanced settings,
perform the following operations:
Step 1 Click Advanced settings.
The dialog box for advanced settings is displayed, as shown in
Figure 6-10 Advanced settings
Step 2 Set Max. incorrect password inputs and Lock Interval.
Step 3 Click Save.

6.8 Configuring local Parameters

You can view the protocol type, code stream type, video stream type, vertical synchronous,
and path where snapshots are stored. These settings take effect only the local computer.
Issue 02 (2013-09-30)

The super Administrator can delete administrators and common users. The super Administrator
cannot be deleted.

Administrator can delete common users.

Common users do not have right to delete users.

When a user that has logged in is deleted, the user can still perform operations on the web pages.
When the user logs out, the deletion takes effect.
 Max. incorrect password inputs: maximum number of consecutive incorrect password attempts.
 Lock Interval: duration that an account is locked when the number of consecutive incorrect
password attempts exceeds the maximum.
 If Max. incorrect password inputs is set to 0 or Max. incorrect password inputs and Lock
Interval are both set to 0, the maximum number of consecutive incorrect password attempts is
unlimited and the account will not be locked.

If Lock Interval is set to 0, an account will be locked permanently when the number of consecutive
incorrect password attempts exceeds the maximum.
