Caller ID

Caller ID operation

Memory match

If the incoming telephone number matches the last 7 digits
of a telephone number in your directory, the name
that appears on the screen matches the corresponding
name in your directory.
For example, if Christine Smith calls, her name appears as
Chris if this is how you entered it into your directory.
NOTE: The number shown in the caller ID log will be in the
format sent by the telephone service provider. The telephone
service provider usually delivers ten-digit phone numbers (area
code plus telephone number). If the telephone number of the
caller does not match a number in your directory, the name will
appear as it is delivered by the telephone service provider.

To add a blocked call on the AT&T CL82114:

1. Press MENU/SELECT on the handset when it is not in use.
2. Use qCID or pDIR to scroll to Call block, then press MENU/SELECT.
3. Press MENU/SELECT to choose Block list.
4. Use qCID or pDIR to scroll to Add new entry, then press MENU/SELECT.
5. When the screen displays ENTER NUMBER, use the dialing keys to enter the number.

The system can store up to 20 blocked numbers. To make room for additional blocks, you must delete existing entries by accessing the Block list and removing unwanted numbers.
