How to Use Installation Main Menu

Turn on the NCR 7448 Workstation

POST (Power On Self Test) Function

Installation Main Menu

To open the Installation Main Menu, perform the following procedure.
Note: It is possible to install software with the 176-key Micromotion Keyboard
or the 80-key Conventional Keyboard; however, the PS/2 keyboard or the USB
keyboard is necessary when you need to use special characters for such settings
as Computer Name, Workgroup, and Domain.
The NCR 7448 Workstation with KEYLOCK
Turn on the NCR 7448 Workstation, insert the MA key into the mode switch,
and turn it
to EX-Position to power it up.
The NCR 7448 Workstation without KEYLOCK
Turn on the NCR 7448 Workstation by pressing power switch
The NCR 7448 Workstation boots up and performs POST function.
If any error is detected during POST, perform the possible remedies and try this
step again. See POST Diagnostics in Appendix A: BIOS.
When POST are completed, the NCR 7448 Workstation displays the
Installation Main Menu and prompts you to select one of the following
functions.
0: EXIT

•
REBOOT
•
GO TO DESKTOP
