Installing NCR 7448 Platform Software for Windows 98
System Requirements
Installation Pre-procedure
In order to install the NCR 7448 Platform Software, you need to build the
following system:
A Server PC
Hardware:
CD-ROM Drive
Ethernet LAN Adapter
Software:
D570-0740-0000 (NCR 7448 Platform Software for Windows 98)
NCR 7448 Workstation
This is the target NCR 7448 Workstation to which you want to install the
platform software.
PS/2 Keyboard or USB Keyboard.
Set the CD-ROM drive of the Server PC to Shared so that the NCR 7448
Workstation can access the CD-ROM file through the Ethernet network.
Assume the shared CD-ROM drive on PC is Z-drive for the description below.
1.
Insert the "NCR 7448 Platform Software for Windows 98" CD-ROM into
the Server PC.
2.
Open the Explorer.
3.
Right-mouse click a CD-ROM drive of the PC and click Sharing.
4.
Select the Sharing tab and select Shared As.
5.
Ask your network administrator for Share Name.
6.
Ask your network administrator for the User Limit setting.
