Displaying Advertisements Currently in the Neighbors MIB. These
commands display the content of the inbound LLDP advertisements received
from other LLDP devices. These commands can also display the content of
inbound CDP advertisements. (For more on how the switches handle data
received in CDP advertisements, refer to "LLDP and CDP Data Management"
on page 13-54).
Configuring for Network Management Applications
LLDP (Link-Layer Discovery Protocol)
The Management Address field displays only
the LLDP-configurable IP addresses on the
switch. (Only manually-configured IP
addresses are LLDP-configurable.) If the
switch has only an IP address from a DHCP or
Bootp server, then the Management Address
field is empty (because there are no LLDP­
configurable IP addresses available). For more
on this topic, refer to "Remote Management
Address" on page 13-33.
