85-9 config 802.1p user_priority
Description
This command is used to configure the way by which the switch will map an incoming packet,
based on its 802.1p user priority, to one of the eight available hardware priority queues on the
switch. The switch's default is to map the following incoming 802.1p user priority values to the
eight hardware priority queues. The suggested mapping is shown in the following table. Users can
change this mapping by specifying the 802.1p user priority to assign to the <class_id>.

config 802.1p user_priority {ports [<portlist> | all]} <priority 0-7> <class_id 0-7>
Parameters
ports - (Optional) Specifies that port used for this configuration.
portlist - Specifies the range of ports to be configured.
all - Specifies that all the ports will be used for this configuration.
<priority 0-7> - Enter the 802.1p user priority to associate with the <class_id> (the number of the
hardware queue).
<class_id 0-7> - Enter the number of the switch's hardware priority queue. The switch has eight
hardware priority queues available. They are numbered between 0 (the lowest priority) and 7
(the highest priority).
Restrictions
Only Administrator, Operator and Power-User level users can issue this command.
Example
To configure an 802.1p user priority of 1 map to class ID of 3:
DGS-3620-28SC:admin#config 802.1p user_priority 1 3
Command: config 802.1p user_priority 1 3
Success.
