Registering staff presence

Telligence Patient-Staff Communication System Operation Manual
Registering presence is an optional Telligence feature. Staff
presence can be registered at presence stations in patient rooms. In
such cases, presence stations are associated with all patient room
stations, and presence is registered for the entire room, even if there
are multiple patient stations in the room. Presence stations can also
be located in staff rooms, associated with staff/duty and other
peripheral stations. Presence levels that can be registered at
presence stations are:
Red: The highest staff level priority, RN
Amber: The middle staff level priority, LPN
Green: The lowest staff level priority, Nurse's Aide
Registering any level of presence activates staff follow at the patient
or staff/duty station. You can also register presence to signal that a
doctor is in a room with a patient, that a baby is in a room with its
mother, or that a room needs charting.

Presence stations

The HC-PP3-PRES presence station allows staff members to signal
their presence in the room where the station is located.
