Configuration Options via Command Line (Cont.)
Monitor the System
This option enables you to view static or dynamic system streaming data and is also available
from the PIVD100R Main Menu and the Setup Menu.
At the STB Command > prompt, either:
• Type monitor and press Enter to display the current system data (see sample displays
under the "Monitor the System" section on page 38).
• To monitor streaming data in real time, type monitor and the number of seconds before
the data refreshes. Then, press Enter. For example, to refresh the data every second, type
monitor 1 and press Enter.
When you are finished monitoring streaming data, press Enter to stop the system monitor
and return to the STB Command > prompt.
Set the STB/Tuner Channel
1. At the STB Command > prompt, type channel and press Enter.
2. (Dual tuner STB only) At the Enter tuner number (1 or 2) [1]> prompt, either
press Enter to accept the default value in square brackets, or type the appropriate tuner
number and press Enter.
3. At the Enter channel [7]> prompt, either:
• Press Enter to accept the default value in square brackets, or
• Type in a new channel number and then press Enter.
The system will display confirmation, for example:
Channel: 8
Tuner: 1 Channel: 2
or
Note: The system does not determine whether a particular channel is valid/authorized for your
system; it only determines if a "Set Channel" operation is successful. See also note below.
Note: It may take a few minutes before a channel change registers in the system. During the
transition period for the channel change, or if the channel is not valid and thus the STB cannot
tune to the selected channel, the System Monitor will show indication of a transition in the
Channel column, for example: 7 -> 2 .
Note: If you set/change a ViP 222/ViP 222k STB/tuner channel, it is recommended that you
check one or more room receivers to make sure the new channel is tuning properly. If you
see a blank screen or a "No Signal" message on a TV, use the "reset" command described
on page 45 to reset the STB.
