Have one person grasp both sides of the switch, lift the switch, and position it in the

rack. See Figure 30 on page 95.
If you installed cage nuts, align the bottom hole in each bracket with the bottom
cage nut in each post.
If your rack has threaded holes, align the mounting bracket holes with the threaded
holes in the rack rail, and align the bottom hole in each bracket with a hole in each
post, making sure the chassis is level.

Have a second person secure the switch to the rack with the appropriate hardware:

If you installed cage nuts, install the appropriate screws with washers through the
rack holes and into the cage nuts in each post.
If your rack has threaded holes, install screws into the aligned rack holes in each
post.
Tighten the screws.

Ensure that the switch chassis is level by verifying that all screws on one side of the

rack are aligned with the screws on the other side.
If the switch is a J-EX4200-24F model, we recommend that you insert dust covers in

any unused SFP ports.
