Configuring 802.1X Authentication
On networks that use IEEE 802.1X, port‐based network access control, a supplicant (client) cannot gain access
to the network until the 802.1X authenticator grants access. If your network uses 802.1X, you must configure
802.1X authentication information that the AP can supply to the authenticator.
To configure the UAP 802.1X supplicant user name and password by using the Web interface, click the
Authentication tab and configure the fields shown in Table 34.
Field Description
802.1X Supplicant Click Enabled to enable the Administrative status of the 802.1X Supplicant.
Click Disabled to disable the Administrative status of the 802.1X Supplicant.
EAP Method Select one of the following EAP methods to use for communication between the AP and
the authenticator:
• MD5
• PEAP
• TLS
