Server Platform Features

Hard Disk Drives

The chassis ships with two drive brackets for mounting hard disk drives into the chassis. These
drives can be SCSI, Parallel ATA, or Serial ATA, depending on the server board and add-in
components that are installed.
The hard drives are NOT hot swappable. Before replacing a hard drive, you must first take the
server out of service, turn off all peripheral devices connected to the system, turn off the system by
pressing the power button, and unplug the AC power cord from the system or wall outlet.

NOTE
The Intel Entry Server Platform SR1325TP1-E does not support all SCSI,
ATA, or Serial ATA hard drives. For a list of validated hard drive

Drives can consume up to 17 watts of power each. Drives must be specified
to run at a maximum ambient temperature of 45 C.

Floppy / CD-ROM / DVD-ROM Slimline Bay

The floppy drive / CD-ROM / DVD-ROM cage can be inserted or removed only when
system power is turned off. Drives in the slimline cage are NOT hot swappable. For installation
instructions, refer to the documentation that came with your drive kit.
NOTE
The Intel Entry Server Platform SR1325TP1-E does not support all floppy,
CD-ROM or DVD-ROM drives. You must order the appropriate accessory
kit to install one of these drives. For accessory kit information, see

Power Supply

The power supply is rated for 250 watts of power at the following voltages:
100–127 volts (V)
200–240 V
The power subsystem supports implementation of remote management features including remote
enable, which permits power to be activated from a variety of sources.
