USING THE RESTORE CD

If you are running the Windows 95 operating system, you can use the Win-
dows 95 Restore CD that comes with your NEC Versa 6200MX to restore
system software.
NOTE
and want to complete the Restore procedure, you need to exchange
the Windows 95 CD that ships with your system for the appropriate
Windows for Workgroups Restore CD. Call the NEC Diskette Ful-
fillment Center at 1-800-842-6446 for information on receiving the
Windows for Workgroups Restore CD.
The Restore CD gives you the following options if you experience file cor-
ruption, loss of applications due to a system failure, or decide not to use the
NEC provided hotload in a Windows for Workgroups system. (An Exit
button is also available, in case you change your mind.)

File Restore
NEC lets you restore individual files in the DOS-based or Windows 95
environment. The DOS-based version restores all application files to
their original state (excluding operating system files). The Windows 95
version gives you the option of restoring specific files only.
File Restore allows you to restore NEC provided applications without
losing data files that you created or other application files that you loaded
on your system.

System Restore
NEC lets you perform a complete system recovery in the DOS-based or
Windows 95 environment. The System Restore option provides a full
system recovery and restores your system to its original factory-shipped
state. Full System Restore reformats Hard drive C and erases all
information on the disk. It then restores files on drive C from the Restore
CD.
