Switching Specification
If Use an address for switching is selected, the contents display will be displayed and refreshed while
the specified address is ON. The contents for contents display are displayed/refreshed as shown be-
low, depending on whether the switch direction address is ON or OFF.

Nothing is displayed for contents display when switching to the contents display screen be-
cause the switch direction address is OFF.

The value at the address for switching contents changed, but the switch direction address is
OFF so there is no contents display. (The display remains blank.)

The switch direction address has turned ON, so the contents for contents number 2 are dis-
played in the contents display because the value at the switch direction address contents is 2.

The switch direction address is ON so the contents for contents number 1 is displayed, accord-
ing to the change in the value at the address for switching contents.

There is no change to the contents display because the switch direction address is OFF.

Up to a maximum of 10,000 contents can be registered. The maximum setting file size that can be reg-
istered for one screen (including the label settings (message display), however, is 5 MB. Do not set any
value larger that this. The setting file name is CNTxxx.cfg, where "xxx" is the screen number in hexa-
decimal. You can check the size of the current setting file by selecting Tools – Resource Report from
the CX-Designer menus.
Registered strings can be changed as a group by importing/exporting CSV files. The string table can be
exported as a CSV file, edited or translated, and then imported. All of the data in the edited CSV file can
then be registered together in the string table.
The size of the settings file depends on the number of registered characters and labels. Use the fol-
lowing table as a guide. This table shows sizes for when only one contest display (string display) is
created.
