Operation on the NS-series PT
1. Select an alarm or event from the alarm/event summary and history when an alarm or history is
generated.
2. Click the Multifunction Button with that alarm or event selected.
3. The Ladder Monitor will start and automatically search for the program section with the output for
the communications address of the selected alarm or event. The Ladder Monitor starts searching
from the first line and displays the first program section found.
1. Select the alarm or event to be checked
from the alarm/event summary and
history.
2. Click the Multifunction Object.

A search will not be performed automatically when the Ladder Monitor starts if the alarm/event
summary and history and the Multifunction Object are not found on the same screen.
The Ladder Monitor can also be started by storing 4036 (BCD) or FC4 (binary) in $SW0.
If switching to a specified page is set the registering an alarm or event in the Alarm/Event Summary
and History, the screen will be switched when the alarm or event is selected. The Alarm/Event
Control function can be used for the Multifunction Object to prevent the screen from switching and
move the selection bar.
Starting the Ladder Monitor from an Alarm/Event Summary and History
If an alarm or event is selected in the alarm/event summary or history, a message will be displayed to
confirm whether to start the Ladder Monitor.
Setting Procedure
Settings for starting the Ladder Monitor from the alarm/event summary or history are made in the
System Menu of the NS-series PT.
1. Simultaneously press two of the four corners of the NS screen to display the System Menu. (For the
NS15, press any corner twice.)
2. Display page 3 of the PT Tab Page.
3. Set the Startup Ladder Monitor from Alarm/Event Summary & History Field to ON.
4. Press the Write Button.
3. The Ladder Monitor will start.
The location in which the
communications address of the
selected alarm or event is used
will be searched for
automatically.
