PROPELLER REPLACEMENT

Before replacing the propeller,
remove the emergency stop
switch clip from the emergency
stop switch to prevent any
possibility of the engine being
started while you are working with
the propeller.
The propeller blades may have
sharp edges, so wear heavy gloves
to protect your hands.
ANTICAVITATION PLATE
A BLOCK OR
PIECE OF WOOD
PROPELLER
When replacing the propeller, put
a suitable block or piece of wood
between the propeller and the
anticavitation plate to prevent the
propeller from rotating.
Operating the outboard motor at
higher altitudes will reduce
available power. This may require
decreasing the propeller pitch to
maintain correct engine RPM.
