CHAPTER 6: SIDE GUARDS

Adjusting

Tools Needed:
4 mm Allen Wrench
10 mm Open End Wrench
2.5 mm Allen Wrench
1. Using the 4 mm Allen wrench, loosen but do not remove Allen Screw #1
2. Loosen but do not remove Allen Screw #2 using the 4 mm Allen wrench and the 10 mm Open End wrench
3. Using the 2.5 mm Allen wrench, loosen but do not remove the 8 button-head cap screws in the front and rear cams
4. Adjust the side guard in the position desired allowing the cams to turn as needed to achieve the desired adjustment.
5. Securely tighten Allen Screw #1 and Allen Screw #2
6. Securely tighten the 8 button-head cap screws in the front and rear cams

WARNING
The threads on Allen screws #1 and #2 have been treated with Vibra-TITE
the possibility that they will become loose. You should be able to adjust the cams and/or sideguards approximately
four times without reapplying the coating to these screws. If you repeatedly adjust the cams or remove the sideguard,
Permobil requires that you reapply Vibra-TITE
If you ignore this Warning, you could fall, tip over or lose control of the wheelchair and seriously injure yourself or others
or damage the wheelchair.
